Intravarsity — real work, real startups, zero theory

Intravarsity is a career-experience platform that places school and undergraduate students on real problems inside real startups. Students in grades 8–12 and early university work remotely from anywhere in the world, or in person in San Francisco and Singapore, alongside founders and operators who review their work the way they review their own team's work.

How Intravarsity works

Every Intravarsity programme starts with a live brief from an operating company — not a case study, not a simulation. Students scope the problem with the founder, work through focused sprints over four to eight weeks with roughly 30 to 50 hours of effort, and hand over a deliverable the company can actually use. Mentors review progress each week, and every programme ends with a finished piece of work, founder feedback and a proof page students can share with universities and employers.

There are three depths. A Career Trial is a short, free first taste of one real problem from one real company. A Career Project is a full four-to-eight week engagement in a chosen field. A Fellowship is a selective, longer placement for students who have already proven they can ship.

Programme tracks

Students can work in artificial intelligence and machine learning, law and policy, business and entrepreneurship, biology and life sciences, finance and venture investing, psychology and behavioural research, product design, climate and energy, robotics, cybersecurity and more. Who Intravarsity is for

High school and secondary school students in grades 8–12, and undergraduate students from any country. No prior work experience is required — Intravarsity selects for curiosity, reliability and commitment. Schools, colleges and universities can also partner with Intravarsity to run curriculum-aligned cohorts for their students; details are on the for schools and universities page.

Intravarsity is spelled with an “a”

Intravarsity (I-N-T-R-A) is frequently confused with InterVarsity (I-N-T-E-R). Intravarsity has no affiliation with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, InterVarsity Press, or any organisation using the “InterVarsity” name. Intravarsity is a student career-experience company founded in San Francisco in 2025.
